The best-selling items on eBay UK worth listing right now are unlocked iPhones, engine oil, mattresses and divan beds, refurbished coffee machines and robot vacuums, leisure batteries, streaming sticks, packaging and vinyl record accessories. Counting only listings priced £15 or more, unlocked iPhones brought in about £2.9M in the last 30 days and engine oil about £2.1M. By units sold, Home & Garden and Health & Beauty lead the UK marketplace, with about 2.6M and 2.5M units sold.
Those figures come from the ZIK Marketplace Index (ZMI), covering 38.5M tracked eBay UK listings: the market totals were pulled 2026-10-12 and the product figures 2026-10-14. Every number below is for ebay.co.uk only and covers the trailing 30 days, so you see what UK buyers are paying for now rather than a global list.
Looking for the worldwide picture instead? Our guide to the best-selling items on eBay covers every marketplace. This page is about the UK alone: what sells, what it costs, what UK selling fees and HMRC rules look like, and how to check a product before you list it.
Key Takeaways
- In the last 30 days, ZMI saw about 17.4M units sell on eBay UK, worth about £314M, across 4.4M listings that were active in that window.
- Most UK sales are cheap: the median price of a UK listing that sold in the window was about £12. The products worth listing are priced higher. Unlocked iPhones, engine oil and mattresses each brought in £1.5M or more in 30 days from listings priced £15 or more.
- Home & Garden, Health & Beauty and eBay Motors sell the most units. eBay Motors and Home & Garden bring in the most revenue.
- UK private sellers pay no final value fee in most categories, but business sellers pay business fees, and eBay reports a seller’s sales to HMRC from 30 sales or about £1,700 a year.
Top Selling Items on eBay UK
Start with the categories. This table ranks the UK categories by units sold in the last 30 days, with the revenue those sales brought in.
| eBay UK category | Units sold (30 days) | Revenue (30 days) |
|---|---|---|
| Home & Garden | 2.61M | £45.1M |
| Health & Beauty | 2.50M | £23.6M |
| eBay Motors | 1.46M | £56.2M |
| Home, Furniture & DIY | 1.34M | £20.9M |
| Electronics | 1.14M | £32.2M |
| Vehicle Parts & Accessories | 0.83M | £26.7M |
| Sporting Goods | 0.77M | £14.6M |
| Clothing, Shoes & Accessories | 0.60M | £9.2M |
| Business, Office & Industrial | 0.59M | £5.7M |
| Books, Movies & Music | 0.56M | £7.1M |
Units and revenue tell different stories. Health & Beauty sells almost as many units as Home & Garden for about half the revenue, because most of what sells there costs a few pounds. eBay Motors sells fewer units but earns the most, because car parts cost more per order.
One note on the raw ranking. 24 of the 25 single listings that sold the most units on eBay UK were vaping products: nicotine e-liquids and prefilled pods. They are age-restricted and tightly regulated, so we leave them, and other restricted products, out of the ideas below. Outside them, the top sellers by units are mostly very cheap: of the 48 we pulled across the top categories, 25 cost under £3, such as replacement blind slats at about £1 and wax melts at £2.80. They sell in huge numbers but earn little on each sale.
So the eight product types below are ranked by what they earned in the last 30 days, counting only listings priced £15 or more, and every listing we name sold at least 100 units. Revenue here is units sold times the listed price, so a listing that offers several sizes or models can read high; for those we quote units and price only.
Under each product type is the matching search in ZIK’s product research tool on eBay UK: the six listings priced £15 or more that sold the most in the last 30 days, with their prices.
1. Unlocked iPhones
Unlocked iPhones earn the most of any product type here. Listings priced £15 or more with “iPhone” and “unlocked” in the title sold about 10,000 units in 30 days, worth about £2.9M, and about 1,700 of those listings made at least one sale. The best sellers are open-box and re-sealed older models: an iPhone 15 listing sold 157 units at £394.99, an iPhone 14 listing sold 152 at £289.99, and two iPhone 13 listings sold about 130 each at £244.95. This takes trade or refurbished stock, with the condition and battery health stated in the title, as the top listings do.

2. Engine Oil
Engine oil sells in volume at a good price per order. Listings priced £15 or more sold about 38,900 units in 30 days, worth about £2.1M, across about 5,500 listings with a sale. Big containers lead: an 8-litre Castrol EDGE 5W-30 listing sold 851 units at £56.39, and two 20-litre 5W-30 drums sold 557 units at £85.95 and 364 at £89.99. Stock it from a motor trade wholesaler, and remember a 20-litre drum is heavy, so price the courier into the listing.

3. Mattresses and Divan Beds
Mattress listings priced £15 or more sold about 19,200 units in 30 days, worth about £1.5M. Divan bed sets that come with a mattress are the top sellers: one sold 352 units at £175.99 and another 220 at £129.99. Refurbished branded mattresses sell too, such as a certified refurbished Simba listing at 103 units for £449. These are bulky, so work out delivery before you list.

4. Refurbished Coffee Machines and Robot Vacuums
Refurbished appliances sell at high prices. Bean-to-cup coffee machine listings priced £15 or more sold about 1,300 units in 30 days, worth about £509,000, led by refurbished Ninja Luxe Café machines: one listing sold 346 units at £374.99 and another 167 at £454.99. Robot vacuum listings sold about 1,560 units for about £325,000, with refurbished eufy models at the top. This takes refurbished stock with a clear condition grade, such as “Good – Refurbished”, which is how these top listings are graded.

5. Leisure Batteries and Van Conversion Supplies
Campervan and caravan supplies sell at solid prices. Leisure battery listings priced £15 or more sold about 4,650 units in 30 days, worth about £475,000. Two 130Ah deep-cycle batteries sold 491 units at £76.14 and 461 at £70, and a 100Ah lithium battery sold 114 at £199.99. Van insulation adds about 2,600 units and £126,000, led by a 10m roll of self-adhesive foam at 793 units for £59.99. Batteries are heavy, so check your courier rates first.

6. Streaming Sticks and Boxes
Fire TV Stick listings priced £15 or more sold about 8,400 units in 30 days, worth about £340,000. Three Fire TV Stick listings sold between about 1,100 and 1,240 units each, at £34.95 to £44.95. Apple TV 4K adds about 1,700 units and £151,000, where refurbished units do well: a third-generation 64GB model sold 413 units at £84.95. New sticks are easy for buyers to compare on price, so check what the top listings charge before you buy stock.

7. Shipping Boxes and Bubble Wrap
Other eBay sellers are buyers too. Mailing box listings priced £15 or more sold about 5,650 units in 30 days, worth about £263,000, led by packs of 100 boxes: one listing sold 1,223 packs at £35.95. Bubble wrap sold about 6,400 units for about £193,000, and one 700ft roll listing sold 4,264 rolls at £28.55. Stock it from a packaging wholesaler, and check your courier’s size limits before you price, because boxes are bulky even when they are light.

8. Vinyl Records and Record Accessories
Vinyl listings priced £15 or more sold about 7,600 units in 30 days, worth about £241,000, a figure that counts the records themselves as well as accessories. Among the listings with 100 or more sales, accessories lead: a 100-pack of outer LP sleeves sold 2,164 packs at £21.95, another 100-pack sold 1,091 at £20.95, and a twin pack of record storage cubes sold 567 at £64.

What It Costs to Sell These Items on eBay UK
UK fees depend on your account type. Private sellers based in the UK pay no final value fee and no regulatory operating fee in most categories. Motors are the main exception. Private sellers get up to 300 free listings a month, then pay 35p per extra listing, and they pay for optional listing upgrades and for international delivery.
Selling stock you buy in, like the products above, is a business, though, and business sellers pay business selling fees. Check eBay’s own eBay UK selling fees page for the current rates before you set a price, and price in delivery: a 20-litre drum of oil or a divan bed costs far more to send than a phone.
eBay also reports sellers to HMRC. A seller is reported once they make 30 or more sales, or receive about £1,700 (€2,000) or more, in a calendar year. Reporting is not a new tax: selling your own unwanted things is still not taxed, but if you buy or make goods to sell, trading income over £1,000 a year before expenses needs a Self Assessment return. HMRC’s guide to selling goods on a digital platform has the details.
Tips on Finding Top Selling Products on eBay UK
Use the ideas above as a guide, then check each product yourself before you list it: our guide on how to find items to sell on eBay covers the method. With ZIK, start by setting eBay UK as your marketplace, so every figure and price shows in pounds.

Choose “ebay.co.uk” under the Marketplace section and the United Kingdom under the Shipping Location field. Keep the 30-day range so you work with recent sales.
From there, look at what sells and how many sellers list it. A product with lots of sales and few competing listings is the kind you want, and our guide to the eBay hot item finder shows how to spot one. Here is what that looks like for engine oil on eBay UK: sell-through, listings, sold items and sales earnings for the search, over 30 days. The tool counts listings at every price, so its totals are higher than our figures for listings priced £15 or more.

eBay competitor analysis goes hand in hand with product research. The eBay competitor research tool shows what top eBay UK sellers are moving and how much they sell, so you can see who already wins with a product before you list it.
When you have products you want to sell, you need a way to find suppliers. For eBay UK, ZIK’s Dropshipping Product Finder matches products to suppliers including Amazon UK and shows the margin, and our list of eBay UK dropshipping suppliers covers more UK options.
Finally, write titles that match what UK buyers search for. Use long tail and general keywords from listings that already sell to optimize your product listings, or let the eBay Title Builder build a title from buyer searches. You don’t need to copy a competitor’s title, only learn which words bring their buyers in. If sales stall later, our guide to fixing slow eBay sales walks through what to check.
Ready to Add These Top Selling Items to Your Store?
The pattern in the UK data: the items that sell in the biggest numbers cost a pound or two, but the ones that earn are priced higher and still sell hundreds of units a month. Refurbished tech, car and van supplies, beds and packaging all fit it.
Adding these products won’t guarantee sales. Pick the ones that suit your audience, check the competition and your fees, and spread your listings across more than one category so a single slow product doesn’t stall your store. For ideas beyond the UK, see the best products to start selling online.

For a longer list than the eight above, the eBay best sellers from ZIK show the 500 best-selling items on eBay with their sales, price and sell-through, and you can filter them by location.
