After that, decide on which marketplace or country you are going to sell your products and post your eBay listings. In this case, we tick the United States as our location.

The next step we’re going to do is select all of the products based on the best-matched results shown on the output in order to get the necessary information about your chosen product.
Though it may seem overwhelming to check all of the products on the search results, the tool will compile this information in a single organized graphic for easier digestibility.

In our example, the Aluminium Tripod niche generates $47 000 in sales in the last 30 days. 69 percent of these 100 listings have successfully sold at least one product, which is great.
Meanwhile, the successful sell-through rate is 2274 percent, which means that on every active listing on page one, there are around 20 potential buyers.
So, in the case of aluminum tripods, the statistics are great. The trend looks positive and the market is quite diverse.
There are also two to three sellers here that are quite dominant in the search volume but generally, a lot of people are making sales.
So it is safe to say that this is a great niche and that this is a great product to sell.
And just like that, we can already be assured of what we are seeing because we already know that the product we are about to sell will also perform effectively based on the statistics seen in the tool.
Step 5: Make sure that you can compete
After looking at the performance statistics of the product, you are also going to look at whether you have competitors or not. Often, especially for high-performing products, you have multiple sellers that are strong competitors.
So the next step is basically making sure that you can compete with competitors by looking at the list of items below the stats. Review their price, feedback scores and images to get an idea of what sort of sellers you are competing with.
This step is important, because you need to know if it comes down to it and you have to compete on price – you need to know if you have enough margins to do so and still make a profit!
You can also filter by feedback score to see your top competitors so that you can look and replicate or improve on the eBay SEO strategy they are employing.
The most important part of analyzing your market competitors is checking whether or not their products are aligned with yours.
For this example, since we are looking at aluminum tripods for cameras, we should avoid listings that do not have the same matches because they can show up in the results.

Step 3: Determine your item specifics and description
The item description is just as important as the product title of your listing. Just like we mentioned earlier, eBay SEO does not only rely on keywords but also looks at the relevance of the content of the product.
So, you should also make sure that you build your product description by:
- Describing every detail about the product in the item specific section
- Including your main title along with some “synonym” keywords in your description which builds more relevance for your listing.
- Making sure that your description with has low HTML elements to speed up the page loading time.
