📚 What This Video Covers
Handle Your First Shopify Order With Confidence
Goal: Learn exactly how to fulfill Shopify orders from the moment a sale comes in to shipping it to your buyer — whether you sell your own stock or dropship.
✅ Insight: Once you understand the fulfillment flow, running a Shopify store becomes simple and stress-free.
New Order Notification
When your first order comes in, Shopify sends you an email notification showing exactly what was sold.
Next, head to your Shopify backend to take action.
Orders Dashboard
You’ll notice a number next to the Orders tab — this means a new order is waiting.
Click on the Orders section to view it.
Before doing anything, make sure the order status is marked as Paid, not “Payment Processing” or anything similar.
✅ Important: Always confirm payment went through before fulfilling an order.
Order Details
Click the order to open it.
Here you’ll see the buyer’s shipping address and all order details.
Once you have the product info and the customer’s address, the next step depends on your business model.
Own Stock / Private Label Fulfillment
If you sell your own stock or private label products, the process is simple.
You or your warehouse team pack and ship the order within the timeframe stated in your shipping policy.
After shipping, you’ll need to add the tracking number to the order.
Buying a Shipping Label on Shopify
You can also buy a shipping label directly from Shopify.
Click Create Shipping Label, choose the option that matches the buyer’s shipping method, and pay through Shopify.
Attach the label to the package and ship it out.
✅ Tip: Shopify labels are often cheaper and automatically update tracking details for the order.
